“Is making videogames hard? Is it expensive?”

Jul 15, 2013

For this month’s video I decided to address two common questions that lead people to sites like mine: is making videogames hard? And is it expensive?

As always, my focus here is on solo and small team projects, primarily for hobby and student purposes, though extensible to small commercial projects. This is my beginner entry for July, so unlike the previous HobbyGameDev video entry which assumed you’ve completed projects, this one’s for people of all ages just starting out.

Liking HobbyGameDev on Facebook or following @HobbyGameDev on Twitter only takes a moment. It’s a great way to keep up with new entries or discover highlights from the archives.

Good point. I’d like to add one thing.
It’s extremely important for newbie to build systems as simple as possible. It gonna be dumb and ugly but if you still dev your game and it’s get better, then it’s worth it.
